The Sisters Circle Too initiative provides training and support for Community Based Doulas who choose to provide Doula services for women of color regardless of their ability to pay.

Peaceful Birth Practices offers a 3-4 day
DONA International Approved Birth Workshop.
Doulas help prepare and support mothers and their partners to make informed decisions and advocate for themselves regarding their birth experience.
This intensive workshop addresses communication skills, and prepares Doulas with an depth understanding of labor, cultural awareness, and how Doulas can offer support and comfort measures to address the laboring mothers' specific needs.

Over 30 years experience in Maternal Child Health as an RN for years in Labor and Delivery. Engaging with the development of Leadership through building Doula Programs and Developing Doula curriculum and training for 25 years. A Certified Doula , Lamaze certified educator, and Birth Doula Trainer specializing in Community Based Doulas and home visiting programs.
An experienced Community Based Doula having supported over 300 births in underserved communities . An active leader within Peaceful Birth Practices and a leading experienced Childbirth Educator. Stephannie believes that her work to expand the community of Doulas will be the catalyst to improve the discrepancies in healthcare as well as address the high maternal and infant mortality rates among communities of color.
